Version 25.0.18 Date: 5 June 2026

Our mid-year release marks a massive step forward in data visibility and regulatory readiness. From a "Time Machine" feature that transforms how you audit share registers to critical legislative updates for the upcoming 2027 tax year, Version 25.0.18 gives your team deeper historical insights and total filing confidence.

Tax Management

This update focuses heavily on automated calculations for specific entity types and legislative compliance to ensure a highly prepared posture ahead of the August provisional run.

Smarter Filing: SBC Tax Rates and Historical Refreshing

  1. Small Business Corporations (SBC) Support: In response to high demand following the February provisional season, we have integrated official SBC tax rates directly into the platform. If an entity is marked as an SBC in Konsise, the IRP6 form will now automatically calculate tax on estimated taxable income using these specialised brackets, removing manual friction.
  2. On-Demand Historical Data Refresh: Keeping your basic amounts and last-assessed years accurate is now completely fluid. We have added both automatic and manual refresh capabilities to the historical information section at the bottom of the IRP6 form, ensuring you receive verified data at the time of submission.

Ultimate Visibility: ITR14 Progress Indicators

The comprehensive nature of an ITR14 return means tracking down incomplete fields can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. We have introduced a visual completion indicator directly on the ITR14 form page. At a glance, you can now see exactly which containers are complete and which sections still require attention.

Legislative Updates and Security Reinforcements

  1. 2027 Tax Year Readiness: The IRP6 engine has been updated to fully cater to the latest individual tax rates and individual rebates for the upcoming 2027 tax year.
  2. Dynamic Diesel Refund Rates: To accommodate rapid regulatory changes, the Diesel Refund module now supports shifting, time-blocked rates. The system will automatically apply the correct, government-gazetted rate based on the specific VAT period being processed.
  3. Security & Infrastructure: High-priority findings from our routine penetration testing have been thoroughly resolved to block potential vulnerabilities. Concurrently, we have initiated an upgrade to the underlying Accounts API to modernise our external integrations.

Operational Bug Fixes

  1. Inbox & Correspondence: We fixed the loading failures affecting the SARS Correspondence Inbox. Additionally, we corrected an issue in which system glitches triggered excess or duplicate SMS alerts to users upon Statement of Account (SOA) retrieval.
  2. Form & Workflow Polish: Addressed minor layout issues in the ITR14 request text box and cleared backend bugs impacting the ITR14 return request pipeline.

Entity Management

The Entity Management suite receives exceptional new auditing capabilities alongside deeper document customisation options to keep your corporate secretarial tasks highly flexible.

Feature Spotlight: The Share Register "Time Machine"

Audits and historical tracking just became effortless. We have launched a new Time Machine feature for the Share Register. See it in action here https://www.konsise.com/why-every-company-secretary-needs-time-machine/. This allows you to pick any historical calendar date and view exactly what the entity's shareholding structure looked like at that specific moment in time. An invaluable tool for responding to auditor queries or pulling historical certificates.

Advanced Share and Change Configurations

  1. Share-for-Share Exchanges: We have introduced a brand-new transaction type to track share-for-share exchanges cleanly, eliminating the need to log these as standard buy/sell transfers.
  2. CIPC Customer Codes: A dedicated CIPC Customer Code field has been added to relevant company change forms, ensuring your generated CoR documents are fully complete.
  3. Designation Prefixing: To help categorise your shares effectively across various internal tiers, reports now feature the designation number appended directly as a prefix to the certificate number.
  4. Streamlined Transfer Screen: We have cleaned up the Share Transfer UI by removing unnecessary Nominal amount and Premium amount fields, leaving you with a leaner, neater workspace.
  5. Affidavit Signatories: When executing company updates, you can now explicitly select which director is designated to sign the formal affidavit or deregistration certificate.

Global Trust Management & Document Control

  1. International Trust Flexibility: When adding a foreign (non-South African) Trust, the system will now intelligently bypass standard SA Trust Registration Number format restrictions, allowing you to register global structures seamlessly.
  2. Expanded Word Library: We are continuing our expansion of editable text formats, introducing Microsoft Word (.docx) options for Public Officers, Company Secretaries, Share Transfers, Buybacks, Allotments, Auditors, general Company Changes, and Trust resolutions.

Essential Bug Fixes and Guardrails

  1. Beneficial Ownership Accuracy: The "Above 5%" BO filter has been completely recalibrated across all drilldown layers to isolate reportable owners accurately. Additionally, the beneficial entity type field will now correctly hide itself unless the active shareholder is a nominee.
  2. Certificate Sequence Protection: We fixed a frustrating bug where editing an existing allotment would accidentally overwrite and push the certificate number to the next sequential digit in the background. This has been resolved, and the user is still able to edit it, but the system will no longer push it to the next available number automatically.
  3. Document and Layout Fixes: Many-to-Many certificates will now flawlessly display every individual share range without omitting data, shareholder postal addresses will populate reliably on the Securities Transfer Form, and active certificates will no longer erroneously display as "cancelled."
  4. Financial Precision: Total Consideration values now perfectly accept cents and decimal points for precise historical capture.
These refinements ensure that your practice remains robust, secure, and fully compliant as you transition into your mid-year workflows.
