Based on requests from our tax practitioners, we have added a new notification template for the taxpayer submission approval workflow. This template specifically includes SARS banking details. This addition is designed for practices that require clients to process and settle their provisional tax payments before the formal return is submitted to SARS, thereby minimising the risk of penalties and interest.
For our enterprise accounts managing immense entity portfolios, we have optimised the underlying architecture of our master data loading sequence. We fixed an inconsistency where generated post-submission ITR14 PDFs were not fully pulling from the finalised submission data layer. The system now guarantees that the post-submission PDF is a flawless mirror of the exact data transmitted to SARS.

In Entity Management, we are introducing smarter tracking alerts, expanded bulk transactional power, and highly requested data export capabilities for individual directors.
Evolution of the Dividend Module: Distribution Tracking
To better accommodate corporate financial structures, we have completely overhauled the "Add a Dividend" function, rebranding it to "Add a Distribution." This expanded module includes:
• Unique Transaction Numbers: Added to all distributions for strict auditing and cross-referencing.
• Varying Sub-Types: Choose between a standard Dividend Distribution or a Capital Distribution. The system dynamically adjusts the container options based on the chosen type, providing greater data entry flexibility.
Bulk Action Enhancements: Multi-Range Buybacks
Building on our bulk utilities, the Shareholder Action Feature now supports bulk buybacks on certificates that contain multiple share ranges. Practitioners can now capture multiple distinct buybacks in a single transaction, saving significant time during corporate restructuring.
CIPC Director Data Exports to Excel
You can now Export to Excel directly from the CIPC Directors tab on any individual's profile. This allows you to instantly extract a clean, raw data spreadsheet that maps all active and inactive directorships for that individual, based on CIPC.
Intelligent Compliance: Passport Expiry Warnings
To streamline your Know Your Customer (KYC) and secretarial workflows, we have added an Expiry Date field for Individual Passport Numbers. This tracking tool features smart colour-coding:
• Orange Indicator: Alerts you if an individual's passport is set to expire within the next 6 months.
• Red Indicator: Highlights that a passport has officially expired, allowing you to request updated documentation proactively.
Core Customisation and Word Resolution Exports
We are continuing to expand our editable Microsoft Word library, introducing new .docx formats for Company Changes, Auditors, Accountants, and Representative Taxpayers. Additionally, formatting and layout updates have been made across several PDF registers to enhance professional appearance.
Essential Bug Fixes and Signatory Protection
- Shareholder Signatory Restore: We patched a critical bug where the "Active" column on the Shareholders tab was intermittently displaying as blank. Because the system treated these active records as blank, it failed to generate the necessary shareholder signatories for resolutions. This has been fully resolved.
- CIPC Date Registration Safeguard: Fixed a glitch when comparing company data from CIPC, which accidentally appended an extra day to the official registration date. Dates will now match CIPC.
- Action Feature Stability: Resolved an issue that blocked users from successfully processing transfers when utilising the Shareholder Action Feature.
- Download Alert Fix: Eliminated a confusing phantom error message that popped up during PDF generation even when the document had successfully downloaded.
