Version 20.4.0 Date: 2 May 2025

Version 20.4.0 Date: 2 May 2025

We’ve just rolled out our latest Konsise update, and while it’s packed with helpful behind-the-scenes improvements, we’ve also added a few upgrades that our users will notice right away. Here's what’s new in Version 20.4.0.

VAT201 Enhancements

We’ve made a few tweaks to stay ahead of any future VAT rate changes:

VAT Rate Variabilisation: We’ve improved how Konsise handles different VAT rates. Even though the proposed VAT increase didn’t go ahead, we’re now ready for it, or any changes down the line.

PRN Display Added: We’ve added the PRN (Payment Reference Number) to the VAT Determination tab, so it’s easier to reference when reviewing VAT details.

Compliance Report Improvements

We’re rolling out several updates to make our compliance reports even more accurate. These will help you and your team get a better overall picture of your tax obligations.

EMP201: Previously, only the original declaration value was considered when determining the submission value. Now, if a revised declaration was submitted, we’ll add both values to reflect the full submission.

ITR14, ITR12, ITR12T: We now include provisional tax payments in the payment totals, not just what was due after assessment. This gives a more complete picture of what’s been paid.

IRP6: Sometimes payments are made after the deadline (e.g., following a SARS notice). We’re now including those post-deadline payments in the compliance report so that everything adds up correctly.

Dashboard Upgrades

You’ll notice more insightful, entity-wide views in your dashboards, especially useful for large organisations managing multiple entities.

Corporate Tax Returns Graph: The graph showing what's submitted vs. what’s still outstanding now includes all entities, not just the integrated ones.

PAYE Exceptions Dashboard: You can now see outstanding PAYE submissions for all entities (integrated and non-integrated).

PAYE Exceptions Dashboard:  A handy new submenu has been added to help navigate this view.

Dashboard Updates: We also updated some labels to be clearer: “Only Integrated Entities” now reads “SARS Integrated Entities.”

Bug Fixes

We’ve fixed a few nagging issues:

  • The PDF download on the “Submission and Payment” tab is now working properly.
  • A bug where the card was showing the wrong Reviewer status has been fixed.
  • The Exception Report wasn’t always showing penalties and interest correctly - this has been resolved.

That’s all for this release! As always, thanks to our users for your feedback. It helps us build a better Konsise. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need help navigating the new updates.
